This is kind of the reason why I use fluorescent and LED lamps instead of incandescent lamps, because they generate quite a bit of heat, and my house is of the modern, well-insulated type.

The room I'm sitting in is lit entirely with incandescent lamps, and it gets quite toasty at the end of the day!
