H22 ballast? And cleartop Westinghouse mercury on ebay! « on: May 28, 2010, 11:13:23 PM » Author: tmcdllr
I saw a label on a Westinghouse Lifeguard 175 watt mercury lamp that said H22 or H39 ballast type. I know what H39 is but I have never heard of H22...is there such a thing or is it actually the same ballast and the H22 was the old designation?

BTW, currently on ebay there is an auction for vintage 175 watt Westinghouse Lifeguard CLEARTOP mercury lamps if anyone is interested, I am for sure.

Nothing like the beautiful cool white light of a coated Mercury Vapor lamp and the soothing hum of it's magnetic ballast.

Very cool!  I have a case of 6 similar to that.  I got two bulbs (from 69) that came with a box like that a year ago, than last winter got another 4 bulbs (from 73) to fill the case out  :)

I think it maybe the same seller I got the original two and the box from.
