Has anyone encountered this WideLite product? « on: January 06, 2023, 02:59:04 PM » Author: RandomCatPerson
A fellow collector showed me what I believe to be a WideLite JR. I hadn't seen any of them before this so I was curious if anyone else had. I don't have any photos but it's seen in Widelite Catalogs. I wanted to know if this was the first WideLite JR. to be seen in a private collection. I may be able to acquire photos in the future but unfortunately for now I don't have any.

If you're talking about the floodlights, I wonder if this could be it. It looks like a F-series but is smaller and intended for 250w.

Interesting, I had a feeling that was it. Still it's nice to put a name to it.

A update to this, the Wide-Lite Junior model appears in this ad from around 1962.

The Wide-Lite Junior as listed was available in 100w, 175w, and 250w mercury. All wattages were available in the "AWB" config which included a integral ballast. The 250w was also available in a "ALB" config which used a remote ballast.
