I remember two early design led battens (20w) which was bought by some owner (installed outdoors), who left it when they moved out, and then another owner who while renovating, decided to keep them since it was led. The next owner threw them out but I picked them and have been using one for 4+ years (upgrade from my 10w led batten). No dead led chip inside it at all! Meanwhile my neighbour had a high quality led batten (40w) which was installed indoors in may 2022 and failed (no signs of life) in jun 2023. For clarity, the battens were made around 2009 to 2011. The outside climate is very rainy, so I am wondering how they survived without any sealant.
