Mine is anything above 4100k.

I like HID, CFLs and incandescents
Favorite indoor light source: PL Fluorescent (Preferably preheat, maybe rapid start, maybe instant start but instant start is boring) Favorite outdoor light source: High Pressure Sodium (MV maybe, but HPS is relaxing)

My favourite one is probably 5000K, especially the higher CRI ones that appear a nice pure white instead of with a bluish cast.
4100K and 3500K are the the runner ups.

I usually use 5000k/6500k fluorescent, in fact I have a Philips Alto F17T8 6500k running right now.

Depends on the situation for me. If it's domestic then 2700K / 3000K are my favourite. For industrial settings 5000K would be my preference. Maybe 6000K in some cases, but not many.

Personally I don't prefer "3000k" fluorescent, because most 3000k "Kitchen & Bath" fluorescent tubes I've seen look nothing like a 3000k halogen, they look more 3200k to me

It really depends of the context.
I'm an incandescent lover, so I like the 827 (i.e. 2700K) fluorescent light as a bedside lamp. This tint is also rare to find.
The 830 is a good compromise for general lighting in the room where I work.
But I must admit that the most beautiful colour to me in fluorescent lighting is the 950, I have a few 5000K "full spectrum" tubes and they're the best in my vintage lamps for drawing.

@HM1000: Me too, I like 6500k the best due to the slight bluish tint it has.

3500 is my favorite followed by 4100k. Anything above 4100K hurts my eyes and gives me headaches.

Mine has to be Osrams ‘Lumilux Interna 41’, @ 2700K I put one in our kitchen at home when my mum had a large collection of terracotta pots, it brought them all out into stunningly rich colours of reds and browns

I wasn't a fan of the traditional 2700K lamps, mostly due to how the colours seemed distorted with the lower colour temperature and lower CRI. That said, I wonder if the 90 CRI 2700K/3000K T12s sold now are better in that regard.

The colour I use is depends on the fixture and the appearance I want it to have when lit. For bare battens, I prefer to use Cool White because it's bright and vibrant while also being gentle on the eyes. I tend to use Daylight tubes in fixtures with transparent diffusers. I found that warmer colours have a tendency to make the diffusers look like they're yellowed from sun exposure which I do not like the appearance of so I use Daylight tubes to eliminate this issue.

Interna 41 was something else though , it wasn’t your average warm white, it was really rich in red, and everything lit up under it looked awesome! When we had our CFL era, most lamps supplied to the UK were just tri-phosphor 827s which were a nice colour, but it would have been awesome if some of them could have carried the Interna 41 phosphor
