Has anybody seen any articles (in internet)about history of fluorescent lamp or other HID lamps. It would be interesting to read about improvements they have made over decades. I tried to google but could not really find anything that would go into details. Usually those articles just says who invented and when but nothing more deeply.

It would also be nice to read about history of electric lighting of different countries(what kind of fixtures were common in 19XX in that part of world etc etc..) and compare how did people in other countries like to illuminate their homes, offices and streets. but I dont think there is any such articles. That would be nice group work to do but really massive and would take very much time and involvement.
