As part of a interchange renewal project nearby , about 8 new HPS 115s were installed . More than 1/2 have already failed and were replaced with 125's .  I promise you that there's absolutely "0" possibility that lighting enthusiasts were the only sales of ANY new streetlight !! If that was the case , they would have been discontinued years ago ! NO product can stay in production when being bought one or two at a time by a handful of people per year !

Even though the 125 wasn’t my favorite fixture, it’s still sad to hear these have been discontinued. Now I just hope this isn’t the beginning of the end for all their HID fixtures… Hopefully they at least keep the 115 and Series 11 in production for a while longer. 125s were never really used that much around here before major LED conversions started, but I did see one or two around the county I live in.

I’ve always been interested in all kinds of lighting, mainly incandescent and HID, and especially all kinds of sodium lamps (HPS/LPS). I’ll tolerate LED but I’m not a fan of it.
I’m not proud to say that my city has Devolved to LED.
