Most likely all of their HID fixtures will be gone by the end of 2022.

Yeah, that's true, especially since these bulbs will be banned from sale at the end of 2022, as well as fluorescent lamps

Yep, then Cooper will be next, and then HID on the market expect for eBay, and others. All of the HIDs will go extinct.

True. But maybe it will just be the fixtures that are banned, who knows? I know fluorescent lamps/fixtures will be banned. I also think that the ban also applies to the second hand sale, such as eBay, FB Marketplace, etc of banned fixtures/lamps, or something

Sources to support your statement about the ban on HID and fluorescent sources?

That's a shame. Toronto had a ton of these...they were still installing them for road projects last year too.
I have a new one, built to more or less Toronto specs with the bare housing and drop lens. It's 200w HPS. I was hesitant to get it but I felt like the 125s was more or less the last stand for HID cobraheads in my area so I figured I'd might as well get it.

Wow the sales of new HID fixtures must have been really plummeting of late.

I've heard they were considering it due to the mercury content but I've only been able to find some regulations limiting the max amount of mercury per lamp instead.I know some other countries are stricter. I believe Japan is one of them, which was one of the reasons why Iwasaki pulled mercury lamp production early last year.
