@arclue exactly! Everything you said about how spouses, and family members don't have the same interests unfortunately is so true!

I'd own maybe a few Ge M400A's, 400 watt HPS or maybe, depending on the size of the land, 12 High Masts, 1000 watt HPS

The ideal countryside setup like in the Midwest would be a lonely wood pole with a GE Powr/Bracket 400W MV on a gravel road leading up to rest stop with a liquor store lit with fluorescents, a (old fashion) gas station without the canopy lit with powergroove fluorescents, and a small ranch-style house with incandescent and CFL bulbs like in the 2000s. Add a nice thunderstorm in the background too.

I'll probably have a few poles, switched on different circuits. A couple of 175w and 100w MV lights serve as night lights with the 175w shutting off at 11pm and probably one 1000w and two 400w MVs to serve as additional lighting on manually switched circuits to be used when needed.

I'll probably have a 55W SOX somewhere too, maybe on the side of the house. That said, I'll probably turn everything off except for maybe a single 100w MV overnight.

@arcblue, I agree so much with you on family members and friends, people that you are around a lot and they don't have the same interests. I have that with personal family too, very rarely I will be around people that have the same interest as us with the old school lighting. Again, I am not an CFL or LED hater at all and I do think that they have their place but I don't like when existing lighting that can work for many years trouble free gets replaced for no reason.
