Would it be possible to use a 750 watt PSMH ballast for one of these lamps with the ignitor disabled?

A 750w M149 pulse start metal halide lamp would severely overdrive a 700w H35 mercury vapor lamp because 750w M149 pulse start metal halide lamps run at 200v 4.0a while 700w H35 mercury vapor lamps run at 265v 2.8a.
