I would like to make at one time an external nixie tube display digital scale for the few antique radios I have. The point is, those radios tend to have quite strong local oscillator radiation, which could be rather easily picked up by that scale box just placed next to the radio.
But I would not want the Nixies to be let 24/7, because they do wear out and I don't like to wear out something that is limited in supply.
If you do make the clock, use just the minimum rated current required for even symbol glow and pulse thst with small duty ratio. It will lead lower overall brightness, but it will prevent the electrodes from warming up that much so make them more robust against the wear.

不管怎么样,我在Nixie管方面的知识储备比各位要多一些,因为我在中国曾加入专业交流群
Anyway, I have more knowledge about Nixie tubes than you do, because I joined a professional exchange group in China

I had a vintage Nixie multimeter when I was a teen (gift from my father) but I don't know what happened to it.

The only thing I have today is a sound meter connected to my amplifier. It's a nice device that I like and always turn on when I play music!

Wow, IV-13 level tube! It's a really nice piece of equipment and hopefully you'll treasure it forever.
