@HPSM250R2, that's my thought too. Maybe they're just not as popular anymore and would rather push the 115 and 125. I hope nothing happens to the 115 or 125 though. What a shame LED has done this.
The 125 is dead now too .

What i predict next will be the 115 and then the 11 series or something like that. Then it will be Cooper Lighting.

Let's hope that both fixtures won't be discontinued by the end of the year because I think there's a good chance that would happen.

HID, LPS, and preheat fluorescents forever!!!!!!
|
It seems like by 2023, there will not be a single North American HID street lantern in production by then and 100% of all new street lanterns would be LED by then. I have this feeling that HID lamps, ballasts, and fixtures all over the world are being discontinued due to the mercury content of HID lamps in order to comply with the Minamata Convention on mercury.

Sad, but that’s (sorta) reality. Let’s pay tribute to HID cobraheads, except for the OVHs.

It’s really sad seeing some Cooper OVH lanterns having a short service life before being scrapped for LED in SoCal. I even saw some New Cooper OVX lanterns being used as spot replacements.

SRP for life.

Pretty much any Cooper HID street light is junk now. Very thin castings and unreliable gear.

I wonder if any of the cooper HID street lanterns have any ballasts with ballast factors less than 1.

Yeah, I heard their build quality has started to really go downhill. So far the OVHs that that SCE constantly installs around here (in places that don’t have LED) have been mostly reliable and haven’t had many problems though.

I’ve always been interested in all kinds of lighting, mainly incandescent and HID, and especially all kinds of sodium lamps (HPS/LPS). I’ll tolerate LED but I’m not a fan of it. I’m not proud to say that my city has Devolved to LED.

Sadly, that will be the outcome.
