I’ve been considering getting some narrow band amber LED strips to light up my room instead of the horribly blue-shifted RGB LED strip. I also have 9 18W SOX bulbs. Should I just make an 18W SOX fixture, and use one of my SOX bulbs in that instead, or go for the NBA LED option?

If you have 9 SOX 18 lamps I'd honestly consider making a fixture to run them with. That said I'm curious how these 589nm LEDs look like when lit up.

OK. I already have the ballast wired to the socket. I just need a cord, switch, and housing. :lps: I’ll use a cord and switch that I already have laying around the house. The housing is going to be much trickier.

I saw some lit up recently, they look almost exactly like LPS.  :lps: :)

Most of the amber LED products are phosphor LEDs which I don't know if their spectrum is narrow band. But regular amber LEDs are almost monochromatic and they looks like LPS (My Amber LED nightlight however is yellower than LPS lamps).

They make RGBA strips if you are trying to offset blue dominance of RGB.
