LA replacing "most boring" streetlights with a new pole design « on: July 02, 2021, 08:55:34 PM » Author: CreeRSW207
Geez, LA can't keep anything
Thankfully the 1920s and 1930s lights will remain. Here's the link.

Meh, I’d rather have a Olympic Special with a M-400R2 FCO on it.

I went to LA about a week ago and that city is a total trash-heap. It will probably be a few years before they start installing these though.

Ghetto wise? I think this project is in the planning stages but I think they'll eventually begin installing them.

That's sad, I'm sure the poverty there is quite high due to recent events.

Sadly, that’s just the way it is.

Anyways back to poles, Anaheim has introduced a new specimen of “Anaheim Specials” designed to accommodate 5G as well as digital signs.

That's cool that they're keeping that design! I hope they have a good look.

The pole isn't too bad but I don't really care for the sign.

My city is changing everything to LED when it burns out and for somereason there's this super beat up light, fixture is shattered and the lamp is a filament without glass and it's super dead yet it's still there...
I don't like the idea of LED spot replacements because that model may be discontinued and they'd have to install something else and it would be a mess of different fixtures and they could change their color temperature too.

That light you mentioned probably needs to be reported in order to be replaced, around here they only fix lights if they're reported.

That's a shame because I think that they look cool.
