My local ReStore is selling 6 8 foot 2 lamp T12 HO or VHO (I didn't have time to look) florescent lights for $5 each! You heard me right! $5 each!!! I am going to try to pick one up tomorrow! They are in mint condition and just need wiped down and come with 14/2 wires coming out of them with plugs attatched and luckily they are 120V only!

Nice catch! Get em while u can, HO/VHO fixtures are getting harder to find, at home depo you can still buy 8 foot HO lamps, and you could probably get other sizes online.

Oh believe me, I will. They come with single pin lamps except for one of them and one of them has a broken lamp. I can get only one because I only have $5. I think my local Blowes () sells HO lamps.

 I recomend that u get few of them while u can
  Esp the deep channel ones   And cut the others
  To make  F48T12 and F72T2!HO or VHO
   On the 8 Foot HO u can install a couple mercury ballast
  To preheat F96T12 HO

Awesome! Haven't found an eight-foot light at a ReStore as of yet. I have found various types of eight-foot lamps but no fixtures yet. I suppose if I don't find one, I can go to my local Home Depot and drop roughly 40 dollars for a basic two-lamp F96T12 slimline striplight one while they still make them.

Nice, I have a couple of 8 foot lights, a F96T12HO from Restore and a F96T12 I pulled out of dumpster.

Well, I got one of them. It is not HO or VHO, it is just a F96T12 with an Advance slimline ballast inside. It has 60 watt tubes in it but can run  75 watt tubes also. I installed a pull chain switch on it. All I need to do is clean it.
