Drove to My Grandma's house, once I met her halfway I got to drive her car the rest of the way there. May or may not have had to quickly pass a semi on 2 lane blacktop going 100mph... :mrg: Got some good experience learning how to pass in tough conditions like that, which is good. Also stopped in Larned to take better pictures of a transformer bank that's really old. 8)
Way to go Max.!  :police:
Just wait until you're doing 150mph and you're overtaken as if you were standing still...  :poof:

Well you know if I ever got a boat or a plane.... :mrg:

Anyways today I did a lot of lighting related electrical work, the only non lighting stuff was replacing a GFCI and putting in an entirely new outlet with box. Unfortunately the switch I wanted to tie to was in a really small 1950s box that had 2 very fragile looking 1950s cables so replacing the box was out of the question unless I re ran like 30 feet of Romex so it wasn't hooked up this time around. :o :short:

Yesterday I did replace all the outlets and switches in the kitchen. Monday I changed out a fan that was really old, had to deal with it being mounted to 2 really close slats of wood and not an electrical box, fortunately I was able to securely mount the new fan to the slats and it works without issue and wobble. :bulbman:

The Function Generator I ordered off eBay arrived today, so we had play around with that when we got up for the day.  8)

And later on in the day we had a play around with little Amber  :cat:

I'll have to pm you approximately where I was, might have blew by you.

Jamie you would be scared of a few things I saw at my grandma's house, the 1950s wiring style was a little.... more rough than todays stuff. :o :short:

Wow..! Some of today's US electrics scare me, I dread to think what 1950's stuff was like  :poof:

Having said that, our wiring from that era wasn't exactly the world's safest  :o

Read your PM, which I plan to reply to.
Wasn't me afterall you were one day ahead of me.
Wasn't normally headed in that direction but I had to meet up with my leading lighting lady.
Got a few really awesome lamps and tubes.

Scared of wiring.
Really Max after 20 years in the trade I don't get scared I just get my tools.

Cloth Romex with rubber wire insulation?
Best to leave it be unless you plan on rewiring.

Watched the Pocono race on TV, and also planned out an efficient route to hit all 7 restores in the Kansas City area which I plan on executing this week. :mrg: It's a 115 miles and 150 minutes of driving, I think i can pull it off and get a few lamps along the way.
