Does somebody of you here know, what are criteria for "Energy Efficiency Index" benchmarking system? (already few years obligatory "Energy" label in EU)
I ask, because i've seen 20W 1100lm CFL labeled as "A", while F18T8/827 1250lm tube was labeled as "B"...

Wikipedia actually has good info on Lighting, but the End of life section on the Metal Halide article is wrong.

You can correct it. Everyone can write everything in it.
Of course it´s not a sure information site (wikipedia) but a lot of interesting things are in it.

Someone has done exactly that!

The EOL part has been edited and incorporates a completely re-written section about the MH explosion risk:

I think the paragraph about explosions is correct at this moment. It even correctly mention, then all high pressure lamp arctubes might explode (including MV). And for MV's i would be careful: If the arctube is overheated (severe blackening, ballast failure, use of wrong lamp/ballast combination,...), the very high pressure might develop, what cause the risk of violent explosion, in MV as well, even if the chance is lower...

But please, return back to topic...
