So aggravated!! Found something on eBay I really wanted, so I grabbed it. Well, I get a tracking number and couldn't wait! Then the tracking number wasn't working so I contacted the seller. Oops, turns out the item was broken when they went to ship it.  So I ask if they have another, which they didn't, so I had to request a refund. Angers me they didn't even know it was broken until they packed it?! WTF?! Remember the days when a person's word was good enough? If you have a deal with someone, a verbal agreement was a bond? -smh- Isn't anyone good to their word anymore? Now I know how Desultory feels! 

I know the feeling, I've had similar instances here. One was where I ordered a specific make and type of HPS lamp, and got a completely different (and broken) one. I got a refund, but I still didn't get the lamp I asked for 

I am rapidly going off eBay. I have been a user for almost 20 years, but it's gone rapidly downhill over the last few years. First they allow people to say they're UK sellers when they're actually in China or wherever, but just have warehouses full of cheap crud over here, then they screw up the payments system 

I fear my days of buying online are nearing an end, at least where eBay is concerned. I've already closed my Amazon account after watching a very scary BBC documentary on their insidious data mining operations.
