No wondering about it. They'll be haemorrhaging anybody but the cheap crap importers and the really big businesses hand over fist here. eBay is doomed.

I think this is just in the EU or UK, but it seems now eBay will allow outside agencies to take down auction listings that violate "safety"

I could see this being used against collectibles, as anything without a current safety mark could very likely be a candidate for removal.

I have heard in some countries, sellers can't knowingly sell old stuff like Christmas light sets, vintage lamps, vintage electrical appliances, etc, without cutting off the power cord(s) to "disable" them, as they are "unsafe".

I can't see this power being used against collectibles, it's more intended for the crap we've all seen listed on eBay. An awful lot of it is downright lethal. See one of Big Clive's videos on a so-called travel adaptor here. The sooner this sort of thing is removed from the market, the better.
