Hello.What car you are driving now and what was your first car that you got/bought ?Are you happy with them,and what cars you've rarely seen ?

Don't have one any more. My last car (Peugeot 307) blew up the day before I moved house 

The oil pump decided it didn't want to pump any more oil, so blew a gasket and released oily stuff and clouds of smoke everywhere, I was not impressed 

If I'd have had more time, I could have fitted a replacement, or even dropped a new engine in, as the bodywork was fine, but as it was I ended up scrapping it for far less than it was worth 

Where we are here, we're right in the city centre, so we don't really need a car for day to day use, we can walk or cycle to most places. If we want to travel any distance (not much chance of that at the moment) then we hire one.

As to favourites, we've always wanted a classic VW Beetle. Might end up getting one if and when the financial situation improves, but don't know yet.

I can agree with you on the Volvo. I had a 440 1.7GL which I inherited from my father when he died, with only 500 miles on the clock. I kept that car for 12 years, only sold it because little niggly things started going wrong, otherwise I'd probably still have it..!

I absolutely adored my 360, I had it given to me by a mate that was taking it the scrap yard!, it only wanted a clutch!, he had picked it up from a woman who had a new one, and if I drove it home it would save him a trip to the breakers!
I regret to this day not keeping it!  , it was THE most comfy car I have ever driven, and the 2.0 Renault engine pulled like a Trojan!
Without doubt the best car I have ever owned and had the pleasure of driving!

Beetle is nice old timer.One driving school had new Beetle and many candidats learned on that car.I learned on Peugeot 308(diesel,5 speed manual)

Easy to work on, too. We'd particularly like a US import from a dry state like California, as they're less likely to have any rust on the bodywork, but we'll have to see.

I know from my list I look like a Ford guy, but the car I miss the most in our country is the good old British Mini!
They were reliable, fun to drive and had good engines, (BMCs ‘A’ series), and gear boxes, I have many happy memories of holidays, girlfriends and fun days out with mates in the Mini!

Oh yes..! Far better than the fake ones they're churning out now 

If we can't get a Beetle, this is definitely choice no.2 

Oh yes, 3rd on the list is a Moggy Minor (not a woodie though as we don't have a garage and the wood would rot in no time with our weather  )

That's nice choice.Older cars are better,because they don't have computers which cause headache to the owners.

Old Mini is something that reminds anyone of UK.Older cars have "soul" and they are something that is and will be loved and respected forever.
