My favorite current-production fluorescent lamps are the line of 2900-lumen F40T12 lamps that GE makes. They are available in 3000K, 3500K, 4100K, 5000K, and 6500K. Around here, Lowes was the place to buy them. Most temperatures were available in 2 and 12-packs. However, it seems that the 3000K and 5000K varieties are no longer available at all and the other temperatures are getting harder to find. For instance, the only 12-pack I could find was 3500K. GE (Daintree)'s catalog still lists all temperatures but only if you do an Internet search for them. I didn't find any of them when I directly browsed GE's catalog. That makes me wonder if they have been discontinued. Would be a real shame if that's the case because they are nice lamps! Does anyone have any insight into this? Maybe I need to stock up while my local Lowe's still has a few left in stock.
