“The dead, the gentle dead—who knows?—
In tungsten filaments abide.
And on my bedside table glows
Another man’s departed bride.
And maybe Shakespeare floods a whole
Town with innumerable lights,
And Shelley’s incandescent soul
Lures the pale moths of starless nights.
Streetlamps are numbered, and maybe
Number nine-hundred-ninety-nine
(So brightly beaming through a tree
So green) is an old friend of mine."

The last line of that article sums it up for me:

"Save the incandescent bulb. If only for the sake of the dead souls glowing within."

And doesn’t that liquid refreshment look so much better under halogen lamps?  8)

Do you guys have Baileys in the US?, there’s three religions in the UK over the Christmas period, Christmas trees, a turkey, and Baileys Irish cream!  :'-)  :'-)

I don't have such a thing, might use pennies or get some road salt from the garage. :mrg: Problem is finding a way to mount a socket, need some sort of cork or rubber plug the size of 3/4 an inch in diameter. :P
