I just found the craziest thing I think I've ever seen. I've never been there, but I found a ferry dock on the Columbia River that used to have two LMI Ovalites on WSDOT elbow davit arms! Along with those were three GE M-1000's on 201-SA arms. Two of them were G3 and one was a G2. All, including the Ovalites, were HPS. I hadn't one clue that WSDOT used to have clamshells or the fact that those elbow arms dated that far back. No doubt that they used to be mercury. The Ovalites have since been replaced by Streetworks NVN Navions and the M-1000's by Cree LEDways. One of the poles holding one of the G3 M-1000's was removed. This one is kinda amusing to me . https://maps.app.goo.gl/xU4PyWdVSb84JFqG7 This light pole has now been moved to the other side of the sidewalk right by the street sign as it's been knocked down over a dozen times since I moved to Grove City ! If you look at the different streetview dates , 2 of them have the pole missing completely while the others show multiple different fixtures over the years . I guess Grove City finally got tired of replacing this particular streetlight !

Ok thanks . Yeah I usually see them using Solais Securelites, so that’s interesting. This is a fairly new install too, replaced a (likely HPS) NEMA according to older views.

Underpass in downtown San Diego with a few 1st gen GE M-400s. I just saw them this past December, and they're still running /DX mercury lamps. Link here

Usually I collect bulbs (Mostly LED) and some HID ones. I also own a couple of streetlights, but most are made in Poland.

However, I mostly prefer SOX bulbs. LED bulbs in their efficacy will never beat SOX bulbs, in my opinion.
