I have a son-t 400 E-40 base lamp. The problem I have is that the base of the lamp has fallen apart. How can I stick it back? I need some advices. Since the lamp gets very hot, there is no way to stick it to the bulb. I need some answers... Thanks...

Not so strange, I don't know of any commonly available glue which would work at such high temperatures. Maybe you can try some kind of epoxy but Im not relly sure it would stand such temperautres.

What about "soluble glass" with some filler (sand)?

I had a base falling apart on a 175w MV lamp and used JB weld epoxy to hold it in place. I ran the lamp a few times but haven't used it enough hours to see how long it will hold.

Use ordinary Portland cement, like the manufacturer used. Mix it with water to make a very thick, almost dry, mixture and repack the base. Use some tape to hold it until it cures ( heat helps a little, but not too much, basically around 50C. Make sure the lead wires are not touching, and resolder them to the base.

No, if the base is skew do not try anything to adjust it, unless it is already loose.
