We all know cellphone screens, tv screens and computers can disturb sleep, but I'm curious if this also applied to incandescent light? As a kid, I recall GE & other manufacturers had 4w nightlight bulbs in both pink and blue. Perhaps this was before science showed blue light affected sleep. I just wonder if this applies to incandescent and if it depends on if the bulb is transparent or coated?

There will be no more blue light in its costed or painted version than the original clear version, but your eyes will see only the blue light. Even will the same amount of blue light, that quantity of blue light is infamous compared with the amount of yellow and red light. When you only leave the blue light, the eyes "automatic gain control" will do its job and the blue light will appear brighter, and so the problem will come. It is not actually the quality in lumens for example of blue light that makes the problem, it is actually the quantity of blue light compared with the amount of other wavelengths.
It might sound a little confusing because I'm not too good choosing the English word for explaining something a level more complex, so I hope someone can explain it better.

True, your pupils would dilate less with the white lamp due to it being brighter overall, and as a result take in less blue light. However, I wonder if the difference is significant to have any meaningful impact on sleep disruption. I use red bulbs in my nightlights, which would emit far less blue light in total.

That's what I wanted to say, you'll not take much blue light with an incandescent bulb because all the other light will make your pupil to close, while only letting the blue light pass will make your pupil open and take more blue light.
I use a 40w incandescent dimmed at 5-25% percent of the brightness, so virtually I take no blue light.

It is the sae as any other blue ich light. The issue is not that much with the pupil, but in "convincing" the brain you are not inside of your safe den or close to your protecting fire pit. So keeps you alert for danger and that way prevents you from sleeping well. Yes, (...) sapiens is not sleeping in dens for 1000's of years, but this is millions years of evolution. And we are not using fire for artificial light barely 100 years...

I inagine any type of low pressure sodium lamp can replicate the warm glow of fire very well and I feel very relaxed by the glow from low pressure sodium lamps.

Yep, or even better. You can choose what power of incandescent you want more easily, you can add or rest bulbs as you want.

Even if filtered incandescents are not the purest colors, that will still cause sleep problems to you.

Most filters applied to GLS lamps are very wide band pass, so no problem with the spectrum itself. If the light is "unsaturated" enough and not too bright, it's unlikely to cause any problems, not any more so than Moon light entering through the window...

Sleeping with any light saturated with blue even the moon isn't going to help you sleep too much.

There is no health difference if the blue is saturated or not at all. Either causes the same stimulation, which is good once you want to wake up for an activity, but bad if you are about to go to sleep.
Claiming the "narrowband" to be "more dangerous" is a plain hoax, coming from complete misinterpretation of the original warning (pointing to risks with the LEDs in the bedrooms at time the LEDs were just the 6000+K and virtually only wide spread in low power night lights). It meant any high CCT light source. Such high CCTs were practically never used at homes before LEDs, so obviously the sleeping problems came only when the LEDs spread these high CCT lights to homes. It were journalists, who did not understood a thing technical from the article (surprise, surprise,...), fliped the message over and portray the LEDs as the biggest evil...
