Medium based clear 100w mercury lamps. « on: October 09, 2020, 02:21:33 AM » Author: HomeBrewLamps
I'd like to acquire a stock of clear lamps in the future of decent quality 100 watt mercury lamps for use in every night fixtures. I am having a hard time finding them any where... I don't need them at this very instant but for future reference if anyone knows about any listings of decent quality burner lamps (preferably not rare vintage stuff) or if anyone has then please let me know.

My goal is 8. Preferably more but I'll take what I can get. I am also after /DX lamps but those are easy tk come by.

These are probably your best bet. They are a bit pricey at $27 a lamp but they are perfect if you want some good quality lamps you can use without having to worry about wearing out vintage ones.

Out of curiosity, what is it you want them for?

Homebrewlamps i would recommend buying a case of them directly from Eye lighting as they should be cheaper in bulk.

Yeah I would call up a few local lighting distributors and get a quote on some Eye H100/MED lamps. They're one of the few well made modern lamps.

The cheapest option would be tracking down some Caster made 100w lamps. I have a couple of 100w Casters, they're ok for messing around with but I haven't really tested them in long term use.

Thanks Joseph, bulbman and lumex. Sorry for the delay. I've been busy.

@lumex120. I have a wall mount general Electric fixture that takes medium based lamps. And I also have plans in the future to convert various things to 100 watt mercury and I like the low CRI greenish-white light... It adds a certain flavor to things. I also like the /DX lamps too. Really depends on the day.
