Anyone know if this is in fact a germicidal, or if its maybe (hoping) a lamp that was just uncoated, but is regular glass?  I thought the germicidal usually had a G, or GL or something in the etch, or the word germicidal on it...these just have F15T8/C on them.  Found them at an auction with the scientific lab equipment they were auctioning off.

Unless it means UV-C, which I got to thinking after I bought them...but I got 4 of them for $1 so even if they end up being germicidal I'll just resell them.

If you do sell them, I'd be interested. As for what/c means, it's very possible that it's a scientific or germicidical uv lamp.

Germicidal lamps have always began with a "G". Germicidal lamps never begin with an "F". F stands for fluorescent. The newer germicidal lamps have warnings etched on them of UVC radiation.

Turn it on with eye protection and smell the ozone then it's most likely a UVC
Otherwise an uncoated lamp
