Hi today I had to change the CFL lamp in our upstairs landing because the old one just gave up the ghost. Its replacement is a 5 year old CFL thats been in the spares box when I tried it it flickered like a pre heat lamp and then behaves normally has anyone else ever seen this incidental the lamp is new never been used before
