I recently bought a streetlight, and it works normally. However, the PC receptacle is getting scrached by the PCs. How can I replace the PC receptacle/socket?

Are they significant scratches ? Minor surface scratches won't affect it. Maybe you have one photocell with bent pin or the like which is causing all the trouble

Anyway it would probably be held in place by screws from the top or a big nut from the bottom. If it is old its possible that the gasket stuck to the Plastic and appears to hold it

It's held in by some metal spring ring.

Like a big E-clip ?

It looked like a modified e-clip.

Any answers? Also, the PC socket doesn't seem to have any screws, so I would have to somehow extract the clip thing.

Can you show us a picture of the scratches?

It looks like you have to just pry the three tabs against the socket and then pull it straight out, they don't have to move far just past the lip on the socket, and then push the new one back in, there should be a lip on the socket those tabs push against.. But have you tried to just polish the socket with an old piece of denim or heavy cotton to take the scratches out or at least make them less noticeable...
