Well, I witnessed what is probably a tragic site for many lighting enthusiasts.
The local post office had tons of LPS lights on the outside. 18w SOX wallpacks mounted on the canopy, large LPS fluorescent-like lights around the loading bays (think they were 135w) and then several LPS NEMAs.
Well, today I went by it and immediately saw that there was not a single LPS light left. EVERYTHING had been replaced with LEDs! The loading bay LPS lights had been replaced with pathetic little LED canopy lights, the 18w ceiling mounted wallpacks had been replaced with LED wallpacks that looked like the ones they sell at Menards, and the LPS NEMA lights got replaced with those LED yardblasters they sell at Fleet Farm. I checked the dumpster and... not a single light was in there.

I have no idea what happened to them but there is no doubt they just threw them out. Maybe they will turn up at restore sometime but I doubt it. I would have tried to save them if I knew what was going to happen. Ugh.
