New GE phosphors. SPP, CX, etc « on: February 15, 2015, 07:25:17 PM » Author: Luminaire
Issues. High cost of RE and regulations mandating meeting either >89 LPW or >87 CRI.

GE Phosphor type key:
SP: RE70. Mostly halophosphates, minimal RE. Fails regulatory standards.
SPX:RE80.  82-85 CRI lamps. Mostly RE. CFL & T5 = 100% RE.

SPP: SP Plus. Technical lamp. CRI 80.  It's tweaked a bit to pass the 89 LPW requirements. 2900 lumen. I think these are basically "700 plus" or "800 minus" series.

F32T8 Garage & Basement = F32T8/GB = F32T8/SPP41
F32T8 Kitchen & Bath = F32T8/KBP = F32T8/SPP30
F32T8 Closet & Laundry = F32T8/CL = F32T8/SPP50.. and Commercial SPP.

CWX: halophosphates. 87CRI. (Cheap), smooth spectrum, but inefficient.
F32T8/UT Utility 1800 lumen = F32T8/CWX
F40T12/UT  2100 lm. Value lamps = F40T12/CWX

CX: halophosphates/rare earth blend, but less RE than RE80. Apparently when SPP can't be used to clear the 89 LPW efficacy. It gets 87 CRI and clears the exemption criteria, without the extreme low lumen output of CWX, but spectrum is more spikey.

These are 87 CRI and 2900 LM
F40T12/GB Garage & Basement: CX41
F40T12/CL Closet & Laundry: CX50
