Hi. This topic is aimed mainly at members in Great Britain, but this certainly DOES NOT exclude the rest of you!

Do members hold get-togethers anywhere in the UK, or would anyone be thinking about arranging one? Seems there are quite a few of us with the same areas of interest, and a meet-up could really be quite fun.

It will be nice to hear what people think.

I'm going to have a meet up with another lighting collector next January who's a good friend. Not a member of this site but yes I'll be having a meet up with someone and swapping some items.

A meet up with some of the members on here would be good, swap a few items maybe and have a bloody good chat about stuff .

Not something I've heard of yet - but I've only been here a few days!

I've had previously an invitation to meet up with another collector down south if I'm ever in the area for a chat and probably to swap some bits and pieces.  However being based up in Aberdeen, and running on a pretty tight schedule every time I'm in the south I've never had the chance to take them up on that.

Never know, next thing we'll hear about is the National Vintage Electric Lighting Convention having been organised by one of us lot!

Well as i am in cornwall its quite far away from everyone else. I hope to meet up with James Hooker sometime in the near future. I know a lot of the street lighting guys have a get together!

Colin, really sorry to hear that, but don't ever be deterred because of the actions of one person, LG's bigger than that!

Anyhow if it means anything you have one impressive collection which certainly makes me green with envy, and have done extremely well to preserve it all and show it to us, your depth of knowledge is magnificent and you have already helped me a lot with dating lamps made before my "era" began, so thanks for all of that.

Will probably PM one or two of the LG members in Vlaardingen Holland shortly as likely to be visiting the town next month. Be good to have a good old Philips-focused chat!
