So I put my cheap stud finder against the walls, to see how much space there is between each stud in my apartment. To my dismay, my apartment has the
studs two feet apart, which means I'll be forced to use drywall anchors to hold up most of my floating shelves... the 3ft shelves that will be holding
up each F30T12 two lamp strip fixture. Should drywall anchors be safe to use for these floating shelves? Or should I find alternatives?
The drywall anchors that I just bought are the ones that this guy advertised in his YouTube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgLsx4AbsOI&t=72s.
They are very cheap, so I went ahead and bought two packs of 50 from Ebay.
I know to gently screw them into the wall with a Philips head screw driver, etc... but I wonder if the light fixtures will be lightweight enough for the
drywall anchors to be able to withstand the weight for a very, very long period of time?
