North American mercury vapor cobrahead lampholder orientations? « on: January 28, 2025, 02:40:37 AM » Author: WorldwideHIDCollectorUSA
After considering the idea of possibly getting some North American mercury vapor cobrahead street lights particularly with HX ballasts or reactor ballasts in the 250W H37 and 400W H33 versions to run some Japanese horizontal burn quartz metal halide retrofit lamps and Japanese horizontal burn ceramic metal halide retrofit lamps, many seem to only be safe for operation within 15 degrees of horizontal. I wonder if any of the following North American cobrahead street lights listed below have the lamp sockets oriented within 15 degrees of horizontal:

Westinghouse OV25

Westinghouse OV15

Westinghouse OV400

American Electric Model 25

Cooper OVX

Cooper OVZ

GE M400A2

Line Materials Unistyle 400

GE M250A

For the street lights listed above, do they all have the sockets angled within 15 degrees of horizontal after knowing that their sockets are somewhat angled about the horizontal?
