They’re certainly allowed to slip… I have reported several over the years and they do absolutely bog all about it. Just got to hope nobody is stupid enough to pay the asking price.

F15 lamps are usually 18", which would be 1.5ft. A 1.75ft lamp would be around 20", which is definitely not a standard length.

actually 1.75ft/20 inch is quite a standard tube length its just the tube that is that long, is somewhat uniquely one of the few straight fluorescent tubes thats not refered to by its length and when its length is given its given in milimeters only,

that tube being the F13T5 which is 525mmm long aka 1.75ft or 20 inches (roughly)

for whatever reason rather curiously that tube was never adopted into the normal inches measurement that tubes have

which I am pretty sure thats what this both by the description of length and the style of tube/end cap fitted (the relatively deep caps vs tube diameter etc) I am pretty sure its some sort of F13T5 light fixture and tube (with the same style of Lamp holders you find in old GEC 2xF8T5 bulkhead lights)

I have NEVER heard of a F13 tube, only in F13T5. So the tube may be worth more than the fixture.

The seller may even find a buyer who is willing to pay the indicated price for this item. In that case both parties consider this a good deal. If more buyers are willing to pay this amount then this price is "right".

There are no laws prescribing prices for an item like this. If someone feels the urgent need to spend this kind of money on a fixture like this then he/she is free to do so. Just as we collectors/lovers are free to spend next to nothing on stuff like this.

This ad may also be a prank by someone being fed up by all this "vintage", "barn find", "industrial" and "rare" junk being priced as if it were made of gold.

Would I spend that kind of money on something like this? That's an entirely different discussion... Or even not worth a discussion. Still, people will rise to the bait
