Favorite GE fixture? « on: January 09, 2010, 02:17:44 AM » Author: KEDER
Hmm... I do not see a topic like this anywhere else. so here goes.

What is your faviorite GE fixture? All the way from shoeboxes to M-1000... Vintage to Modern.

My favorite is the M-400 r2... and A2 FCO.

M-400 r2 i prefer in drop lens, they just look better. Also good Light distribution.

M-400 a2 i prefer FCO... I just like the look of the FCO better. I would like to have an M-400 a2 FCO sometime.

For vintage i like:

M-400. Original.

They look good, and GE's modern fixtures (exclude M-400 r3) still have a similar design. THey kept the same exact design refractor! (with some diffs, not much though)

GE ruined there classic design with the M-400 r3.

So what is yours?

My favorite newer GE is the M-250A2,I don't mind the drop refractor or FCO models.I actually like the looks of the Holophane 4252 glass drop refractor over the shallower GE glass refractor in the M-250A2,the same refractor I have in my fixture I use outside.

My favorite older GE fixtures are the M-250A and M-400A.

My favorite would have to be the M400A2 FCO.  Probably one of the most common streetlights around where I grew up.

My favorite modern/newer GE would have to be the M-400A2 and M-400R2, in both FCO and drop refractor models. These were pretty commonly used fixture for the MTO on highways before the late 1990s.

For the older fixtures I like the M-250R and the M-1000 without the stepped door.

My Favorite GE Fixture is the Probably the Form 109

as you can tell by my User Name obviously. :P

buttttttt...since this is in Modern....then my Fave Modern GE is probably the M400A2 because it still looks pretty similar today like it did back then.

Personally i think that all Lamp Bans are idiotic, the idea of telling us we cant use this lamp type just cause its less efficent is highly (...) in nature...really what good is it going to do?
