I really like bell lampshades and I’ve noticed online that there’re quite expensive… sometimes $60-over $100!

But I’ve found that they’re actually quite common to find in thrift stores, and I’ve been able to get several for under $5 at Goodwill and other local shops. It’s surprising to me how expensive they are new yet so many get donated.

Anyway, just thought I’d share this tip. I also have found the larger shades that fit my newer 6 way floor lamps with the harp mount, yet wide enough to clear the 3 side sockets.

However, I have not had any luck much in finding the even wider ones that fit over the mogul type antique floor lamp with the glass bowl… those need a wider 12” or so top diameter and the 3 dips in the frame that sit inside/outside the bowl… guess those are less common.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.
