As I seem to really enjoy preheat fluorescent light fixtures whether it be CFL or linear fluorescent and that I enjoy having chandeliers in my house, I am starting to see that Japan is the only country that I know of that has chandeliers specifically designed for non-integrated CFL lamps on preheat circuits. So far, I have found 3 different listings for preheat CFL chandeliers that I am thinking of considering:
https://www.jauce.com/auction/h1060959219https://www.jauce.com/auction/h1061667067https://www.jauce.com/auction/u1061705127I am trying to figure out how I can go about trying to install these chandeliers onto the ceiling of a North American home using 120v 60hz mains and whether I will be able to change out the ballasts to 120v 60hz magnetic preheat ballasts that will run the supplied CFL lamps properly or whether I should install a step down transformer in the attic assuming the original ballasts are all designed for 100v 60hz operation.
