Well the HPS is rather a thin rod, you want a beam that is wide in one direction and narrow in other. That brings me to an idea of just the reflective sheet bent into a parabolic shape when viewed from the side and the HPS rod placed in its (horizontal) focal line. This will make very narrow beam vertically (from the side it is essentially a point source in the focal point of a parabola), but horizontally it is essentially just a straight mirror behind a rod light source. It should be not that difficult to make (a parabolic cutaway from a few braces, space few of them along the assemble, the bend reflector sheet then fixed into the parabolic cutouts; no complex 3D forming).
