Using used/greened out mercury lamps? « on: July 11, 2022, 04:14:21 PM » Author: RadiantMV
Since used/greened out mercury lamps aren’t really sought after by collectors, would it be a good idea to use them in my outdoor fixtures? I received quite a few heavily used Sylvania 175 watt /Cs lately for free and am wondering what to do with them.

Hmm, good question. If you have a few of them I don’t think it would hurt to put just one in regular use.

I wouldn't recommend using greened out lamps on CWA ballasts. They should be fine on HX or choke ballasts.
