Howdy,

I’m looking for a pulse-start Metal Halide lamp in 400 watt for a new cobrahead I’ll be receiving towards April. I want something that gets the job done and at a reasonable price.

Feel free to PM me or let me know via this thread.

Thanks!

Here's a coated BT37 Metalarc.

Unfortunately that looks to be a BU only lamp which probably won't work unless you plan to use your cobrahead with the lamp oriented like that.

This Philips horizontal cram lamp might work but I would personally get a CDM330 Philips Allstart lamp. They're designed to run on 400w probe start and pulse start ballasts. Here's a coated case of 6 lamps or a clear cram lamp. You can find more listings if you search CDM330 on eBay.

Thanks guys, I’ll look into both options. I haven’t tried those fancy Philips Allstart lamps yet so I’m curious into how those work.

Here's another option. Probably one of the most generic options while being name-brand.

Thanks, that actually looks like it would be a good pair for my (soon to be) fixture.
