I think it's possible. Because ordinary FL lamps are produced by adding phosphors on the basis of ultraviolet germicidal lamps.
From what I am aware of, I seem to understand that most germicidal low pressure mercury vapor lamps often use high frequency electronic fluorescent tube ballasts and preheat fluorescent magnetic ballasts. Are there any germicidal low pressure mercury vapor lamps that can actually work well on magnetic rapid start fluorescent ballasts besides the 24w and 36w TUV PL-L lamps that can operate on dedicated magnetic PL-L rapid start CFL ballasts?
