F48T12 Slimline single lamp ballast « on: December 26, 2021, 12:31:01 PM » Author: Lightingguy1994
I'm looking for leads or for a single ballast that runs a 39w Slimline lamp. It needs to be the kind that is standard can size or very close.

If any Canadian members have one they want o get rid of, hit me up. Can consider USA if the price is right.

Reason is i have a CEB single lamp striplight i wouldn't mind converting over as it already has socket brackets that take slimline or bipin.

The case size limitation might be an issue if you're going with magnetic as I think most modern magnetic slimline ballast need the width of a two lamp channel.

If you're ok with electronic, you could try getting a Fullham Workhorse ballast.
WH 3, 4, 5, and 6 should support running a single F48T12 slimline and should be slim enough to fit into a single lamp width channel.

Advance two lamp F32 electronic instant start ballast will do
Just combine two lamp output leads together.  It will run
 F48T12 slimeline at full power.

Oh i have two Sylvania F40T12 Electronic ballasts that i have configured to use for slimline or IS instant start lamps, but i was looking for magnetic, but if it wont fin in the fixture i had in mind, its not a problem. I think I will just use the sylvania ballasts.

Thanks for the replies!

I think Universal 539-SL might be your best choice for a magnetic ballast that has a similar can size as a F40T12 ballast. It's slightly longer than a F40T12 ballast but I think it might be slim enough to fit into a single lamp channel.

It's a single lamp ballast, rated for a single F48T12 or F40T12/IS lamp.
