Is there any particular cobra in your area that is popular?
One town north of me seems to be nearly all GE M-400 Powr/door, both on the highway and on main street. My town has a mix of GE M-400 Powr/door, AEL 115 drop lens and a few Cooper OVX mixed in for the highway. Some parts of highway seem to use a particular make and model while others seem to be random makes all on the same metal poles and truss arms. Nearest my house, it's all AEL 115 with drop lens. Another pocket seems to be all GE M-250R2 with flat lens.
On side roads and area lighting, the AEL 115 with flat lens seems to be very popular around here. I think these must have been what FPL was using until recently, and a lot of them look shiny so they must not be very old.

We have those teardrop style ones also, but they're only along the main street through the historical district. I'd say there's maybe 20 of them. They are HPS, and have a reflector to direct the light down better. I like them because they're unique and different than just cobra heads. About two years ago or so they installed a few more of them around the roundabout, but those don't have any glass diffuser, just a flat lens with the reflector.
The teardrops have been up for a while, I would guess they were installed around 2008.

The most common ones seem to be a mix of GE M400R2 FCO, Cooper OVX, Leotek GC1 GCJ & E-Cobra (most common now on freeways).

All the lights on the Expressway and Downtown area here are Verd Verdeons, and also some of the new poles installed also have verdeons. I've seen alot of cooper ovx, ovz, AEL model 115, GE m250r, GE M400R2 and AE Model 125.

I noticed today as I was driving north of here on the highway, that a lot of the older GE M-400 fixtures had been replaced with AEL 115 FCOs. Plus in a neighborhood I noticed a lot of new ones installed. So I would say here the AEL 125 and 115 fixtures are getting very common lately, as that's what the new ones all seem to be.

The Leotek GCJ, GCM, and GCL are replacing all fixtures where I live. They are replacing 201SA, M250R2, and M400R3s

Those are pretty common here too, especially the AEL 113, AE/ITT Series 25 and GE M250R2. There are a couple of old M-400 from the 1960s, but not many. The M-400A2 Powr/Doors from the 90s are more common.
