Japan. In Japan, 60% from the HID installations are clear MV lamps. The reason is purely the local tradition.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site. Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.
I only working with the international date format (dd.mm.yyyy).
I lives in Israel, which is a 220-240V, 50hz country.

I would guess Japan too but when I visited there twice in 2017 I saw some previously MV lights there get replaced with LED the second time I was there. I wonder how many more mercury installations are remaining.
I think the US still has some left and you can still see mercury streetlights in some places in rural Canada too.

I didn't know that Japan also began to put LED streetlighting. I thought mercury lamps still account for the majority of the outdoor lighting in Japan.

maybe Russia or Poland. I follow some polish lighting YouTube channels and most of their street lighting are MV, rarely HPS. Maybe central cities uses more HPS or LED.

In Poland they have replaced lot of MV fixtures to HPS and LED in 2010's. Russia is putted HPS lamps to old fixtures. But they're went to LED in last years.
