I live in a rural area and most of the lights are either MV or HPS NEMA bucket lights. And they even relamp the MV's! A lot of homes use MV yardblaster fixtures and you can even spot one of those 65w fluorescent yard lights from time to time.

Lately I had seen some streetlights at railroad crossings in the countryside on Google Maps. Mostly GE M-400A2 drop lens and GE M-400 FCO with two at each crossing and HPS.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

Over here they seem to be only installed at larger intersections. Usually either one or two LED or HPS lights installed at opposing corners of the intersection. Occasionally the light might be old enough to be mercury vapour.

The private streetlights installed by property owners are usually either a bucket light or a bracket style fixture and use either mercury vapour or HPS.
