There are numerous 70 MH or SON ballasts on eBay UK. I'll pay for shipping alright, but sellers utilizing the Global Shipping thing bumps the cost out of this world. Wondering what the ship cost would be without a third party involved. I remember not long ago that shipping from the UK to Canada was quite reasonable.

Try to use M85 ANSI ballast. It runs European 70W MH lamps which have the same current as European 70W HPS lamps.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site. Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.
I only working with the international date format (dd.mm.yyyy).
I lives in Israel, which is a 220-240V, 50hz country.

An M85 ballast is rather expensive, if found to begin with.

How about this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Advance-71A5480-Transformer-E-8-/193271540465 What’s the difference between m85, m139 and m98 ballasts?

Also thanks for this but there's no Canada shipping. What a shame. M85 are the HCI HQI lamps, typically double ended. M98 is for standard Pulse-Start MH. There's no Probe-Start for 70w. I don't know what M139 is. All the codes are here!

Seems like the seller with the Advance M85 ballast does offer international shipping, just not through the eBay GSP. I'm guessing it's one of those message the seller to get the shipping costs kinda deal. The price on them is low enough to not trigger any brokerage fees importing to Canada via UPS or FedEx anyway.

HID, LPS, and preheat fluorescents forever!!!!!!

I have had no problems running 70w European HPS lamps on regular M98 ballasts and 100w European HPS lamps on M90 ballasts.
