Isn't that unusual for a tropical disturbance to go into GB?

I saw that when looking at the NHC forecasts yesterday. Yep, don't believe they get them too often..
..but then again Canada doesn't either & Dorian made it all the way past Canada.

Maybe this is just the year for odd hurricanes .lol.

There have been a few hurricanes and tropical storms to hit UK, I believe there was one in 2017 or 18.

It has been dryer here too. It did rain this afternoon hard but only for about 5 minutes. The mornings have been cooler the last couple of weeks and evenings cooler and less humid. It is starting to feel like fall, but still hot, during the day.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

Last winter we had allot more snow than normal in the mountains.

in the spring it stayed colder/wetter later than normal where I'm at. Now its borderline drought here as well.
The odd winter/spring weather can probably be blamed on el-nino  but now, I heard that's gone. So I guess just "weather being weather". It has its little cycles & things it does.

Here too. I have had to mow our grass twice a week until late August.
Never ended up having to mow the grass twice a week this year...that would just be too much!

----------------
The forecast I saw last night showed  Lorenzo turning north before hitting the UK, Tonight I see its back to making landfall there.
Still got some time, and those forecasts can change, mafbe they'll get lucky and it will turn away & miss..
