I fear my f96pg17 is forever dead but all it does is flicker very dim and ends light up orange! Is there a way to maybe heat it up and maybe work again... its brand new and only worked a couple times!!

Is your gear ok ? A dead capacitor in Rapid Start can do things like this

Also maybe the tube or gear are borderline for starting anyway and last time it worked you had a little higher line voltage or higher temperature in the room, or the lamp was laying on a surface that assisted starting, or some similar conditions change
