ASOS stations « on: April 07, 2018, 10:38:46 AM » Author: Cole D.
Anyone know about ASOS stations? Which these are automated surface observation stations. Usually these are found at airports and these are sometimes used to report the weather conditions on forecasts. There's a list of the ASOS locations and you can call them and it will give a listing of the temperature, etc. Plus some airports put information for the pilots on the recording.

Also, my weather channel simulator that I installed uses the codes from these stations to report the information on the simulator.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

I don't really dial them in ever, but do pull up local METARS and TAFS with some regularity.
